Personnel from the Armed Police Force (APF) have seized 130 kilograms of contraband marijuana concealed deep within a forest in the Katari Municipality area of Udayapur district.
Acting on special intelligence regarding illicit drug trafficking in the region, an APF patrol unit deployed to the location and conducted a sweep of the dense forest terrain. During the operation, security forces discovered several large, tightly packed sacks hidden under bushes and dry foliage. Upon inspection, the packages were confirmed to contain processed marijuana intended for illegal transport.
While no immediate arrests were made at the site as the suspects fled before the security team arrived, local authorities confirmed that the seized contraband has been handed over to the Nepal Police for further legal action.
