England Defeat New Zealand by 4 Wickets – Jacks Stars with 2/23 & 32*

England secured a crucial four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, chasing down 160 with three balls to spare.

Batting first, New Zealand posted 159/7 in their 20 overs. Glenn Phillips top-scored with 39 off 28 balls, while Tim Seifert added 35 from 25 and Finn Allen chipped in with 29 off 19. England’s bowlers kept things under control, with Will Jacks impressing with 2/23 in four overs. Rehan Ahmed (2/28) and Adil Rashid (2/28) also picked up two wickets each to restrict the Black Caps below the 160 mark.

In reply, England reached 161/6 in 19.3 overs. Tom Banton contributed 33 off 24, Harry Brook made 26 from 24, and Will Jacks played a decisive unbeaten knock of 32 off 18 balls to guide the chase.

Earlier, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra (3/19) and Lockie Ferguson (1/14) tried to keep the pressure on, but England held their nerve in the closing overs to seal an important win in the Super 8 race.
