Zimbabwe’s Pace Attack Crushes Oman; Target Set at 104

Zimbabwe’s bowling attack was clinical at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo today. They’ve managed to bundle out Oman for just 103 runs in 19.5 overs.

The First Innings Breakdown:

Zimbabwe’s Stars: The pace duo of Blessing Muzarabani ( $3/16$ ) and Richard Ngarava ( $3/17$ ) tore through the top order, leaving Oman reeling at $16/4$ very early on. Brad Evans also chipped in with a solid $3/19$ , including a stunning catch by Brian Bennett to end the innings.
Oman’s Resistance: Vinayak Shukla ( $28$ ) and Sufyan Mehmood ( $25$ ) staged a small recovery to get them past the 100-mark, but it’s a significantly below-par total on this surface.

Target for Zimbabwe: 104 runs at a required run rate of 5.2 runs per over.

Considering Sikandar Raza’s men have been in great form during the qualifiers and warm-ups, they are the heavy favorites to chase this down comfortably.
