The Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (FENEGOSIDA) has announced a historic surge in gold prices today, with 24-carat gold reaching a record-breaking 1 tola price of NPR 260,700 — the highest in recent years.
Silver also saw an increase, with 1 tola priced at NPR 3,870.
Experts say the surge is driven by fluctuations in the international gold market and changes in the US dollar value in Nepal. Traders are advising customers to buy gold or silver now as this peak may not last long.
This historic increase has grabbed the attention of investors and consumers alike, highlighting Nepal’s growing interest in precious metals as both a safe investment and a valuable commodity.
