Australian T20 veteran Chris Lynn has officially joined the Sudurpaschim Royals for the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), making him the team’s first international recruit.
Lynn brings a fearsome reputation as a power-hitting opener, having compiled 8,000+ runs in T20s across global franchise leagues like the BBL, IPL, and CPL.
According to the Royals’ owner, Lynn’s signing is part of a bold strategy to strengthen their batting core and compete for the title this season.
Lynn himself expressed excitement about playing in Nepal, highlighting both the “talented domestic players” and the “passionate cricket fans” as key reasons for his move.
His arrival is being seen as a huge boost for the NPL, adding star power, experience, and the kind of explosive batting that could change the course of games.
