Kathmandu, Falgun 13: Preparations for the grand Maha Shivaratri fair at the Pashupatinath Temple on Falgun 14 are now complete, with the Pashupati Area Development Trust ensuring smooth darshan for devotees. The fair is expected to attract over five lakh visitors.
Ten sub-committees have been formed to manage the event, and efficient arrangements have been put in place to allow ten people to have darshan within just two seconds. The temple gates will remain open from 2:30 AM on Falgun 14 to 6:00 AM on Falgun 15 to accommodate the large influx of devotees.
All necessary facilities, including sanitation, toilets, drinking water, and security, are in place to ensure a comfortable experience for visitors. The area has been beautifully decorated with flowers and lights, creating a festive atmosphere. A special zone has also been set up for the Naga Babas, who are an integral part of the celebrations.
Thousands of pilgrims, including many from India, are expected to participate in the fair, adding to the vibrant and diverse atmosphere of the event. The Maha Shivaratri fair at Pashupatinath promises to be a memorable occasion for all who attend.
