Facebook Announces New Policy: Live Videos to be Deleted After 30 Days

Facebook has announced a significant change to its live video storage policy. Starting this Wednesday, live videos on Facebook will no longer be stored indefinitely; instead, they will be automatically deleted after 30 days.

This announcement was made by Facebook on Tuesday, marking a shift from the previous policy where live videos were stored indefinitely.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has assured users that they will be notified before any live video is deleted. Upon receiving the notification, users will have the option to request an extension of up to six months, or take actions such as downloading the video, transferring it to cloud storage, or converting it into a new Reel.

This new policy is set to take effect immediately, giving users a one-day notice to adjust to the changes. Meta aims to streamline storage and management of live video content on its platform with this updated policy.
