Revenue collection for the first four months of FY 2024/25 increased by 17%, reaching Rs. 323.24 billion compared to Rs. 276 billion in the same period last year, achieving 80% of the Rs. 406.37 billion target. However, challenges remain in meeting the annual Rs. 1.419 trillion target, a 34% increase from last year’s actual revenue. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel emphasized broadening the tax base, enhancing efficiency, and tackling tax administration issues, while officials assured diligent efforts to meet targets.
