Low pressure system causes cloudy weather in most parts of the country

The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the monsoon low-pressure system is currently located south of its average position, with monsoon winds affecting the entire country. Additionally, a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal is partially influencing the weather, leading to widespread cloudiness.

Most parts of the country are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions. Light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, is occurring in some areas of the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The forecast for this afternoon indicates generally cloudy skies across the country, with light to moderate rain, thunder, and lightning expected in some areas of all provinces. Heavy rainfall may occur in isolated spots within the Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while there is a possibility of wind storms in parts of the Tarai and Madhes regions of Koshi province.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country, with light to moderate rain, thunder, and lightning expected in some locations. Heavy rainfall is also likely at one or two places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
