The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology reports that the country is experiencing the effects of monsoon winds, along with a partial influence from a low-pressure system situated around northeastern Madhya Pradesh and southern Uttar Pradesh in India.
Currently, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy in the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will also experience partly to generally cloudy weather, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere.
Some areas in the hilly regions, particularly in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, are likely to experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Additionally, there is a possibility of windstorms in certain parts of the Tarai region of Lumbini province. Tonight, the hilly regions will remain partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will continue to see partly cloudy skies.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, may occur in a few places in the hilly regions and at isolated spots in the rest of the country. Windstorms may also develop in some parts of Lumbini and the Tarai region of Sudurpaschim province.
