The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has officially unveiled the schedule for the third season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), paving the way for a 27-day domestic T20 extravaganza at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur.
The tournament will kick off on October 26, 2026, featuring an opening clash between reigning champions Lumbini Lions and two-time finalists Sudurpaschim Royals. The event will run through November 21, culminating in a grand finale under floodlights.
A total of eight franchise teams—Lumbini Lions, Sudurpaschim Royals, Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Karnali Yaks, Janakpur Bolts, Pokhara Avengers, and Kathmandu Gorkhas—will participate in a single round-robin group stage comprising 21 matches. The schedule includes four rest days and single-header fixtures starting at 4:30 PM, alongside scheduled double-headers.
The top four franchises will advance to the playoffs, which kick off on November 17 with Qualifier 1, followed by the Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the final. In a historic move to enhance fairness and modern standards, CAN has also confirmed the introduction of the Decision Review System (DRS) for this season.
