The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 officially opened at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu, bringing together major automotive stakeholders and showcasing 18 new two-wheeler and 29 new four-wheeler brands.
Organized by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the nationwide auto exhibition runs through August 16. The event was jointly inaugurated by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki and NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya. Featuring over 53 automotive stalls, the expo serves as a grand platform for over 55 total vehicle brands, highlighting more than 40 new vehicle models—with electric vehicles (EVs) taking center stage ahead of the upcoming festive sales season.
In addition to vehicle launches and promotional offers, the six-day event includes focused workshops on road safety, traffic management, and the recycling and management of lithium-ion batteries. Organizers and industry representatives emphasized that transportation infrastructure remains a crucial engine for economic growth and green energy transition in Nepal.
