According to reports by AajTak, the situation worsened after demonstrations turned tense, raising concerns about public safety and cross-border stability. In response, security forces from both sides increased their presence, closely monitoring movement and public gatherings in and around the border zones.
As a precautionary step, parts of the India–Nepal border near Birgunj have reportedly been sealed temporarily. Officials say the move aims to control movement, maintain law and order, and stop the situation from spilling over into neighboring areas.
