NPL’s Best Nepali Player to Receive Car from Omoda & Jaecoo

The top-performing Nepali player in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will be awarded a car by Omoda & Jaecoo, a prominent Chinese automobile brand, through SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor in Nepal. The announcement was made during a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange program on Tuesday, attended by Paras Khadka, secretary of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

As the ‘Driven by’ partner for the Siddhartha Bank-sponsored NPL, Omoda & Jaecoo has committed to supporting the tournament.

“Yes, the best Nepali player will receive a car from Omoda & Jaecoo. We are grateful to the Chinese company and SPG Automobiles of Sharada Group for their contribution to the league,” Khadka stated.

Although the partnership is currently limited to a one-year contract, both Khadka and Gaurav Sharada, director of Sharada Group, expressed optimism about extending the collaboration in the future.

“Sharada Group is committed to giving back to the community as part of our CSR. By supporting cricket, which inspires millions of Nepalis, we hope to strengthen this relationship,” Sharada remarked.

The specific car model for the award has not been disclosed, with an announcement expected soon. SPG Automobiles has been distributing Omoda & Jaecoo vehicles in Nepal for about seven months.
