Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, effective from midnight on Monday.
Under the revised prices, petrol will be cheaper by Re 1 per liter, while the prices of diesel and kerosene have been reduced by Rs 2 per liter. Additionally, the cost of aviation fuel for domestic flights has been lowered by Rs 6 per liter, and for international flights, the price has dropped by US $45 per kiloliter.
NOC stated that the price reduction aligns with the updated rates provided by its supplier, Indian Oil Corporation, on Monday.
As per the new rates, petrol will now cost Rs 155.50 per liter in locations like Chaaraali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. Diesel and kerosene in these areas will be priced at Rs 144.50 per liter.
In Surkhet and Dang, petrol will be priced at Rs 157 per liter, with diesel and kerosene costing Rs 146 per liter. In Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, petrol will cost Rs 158 per liter, and diesel and kerosene will be priced at Rs 147 per liter.
The price of aviation fuel for domestic flights is set at Rs 126 per liter. Meanwhile, international flights from Tribhuvan International Airport will pay US $960 per kiloliter, while those departing from Pokhara and Bhairahawa international airports will pay US $860 per kiloliter.
