The price of gold has hit a new record in the domestic market after a week, rising by Rs 1,300 per tola on Friday. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations set the price of gold at Rs 153,300 per tola, up from Rs 152,000 per tola the previous day. Gold had previously reached a record high of Rs 152,200 per tola on August 29.
Similarly, the price of silver also saw an increase of Rs 30 per tola on Friday. Silver is now being traded at Rs 1,795 per tola, up from Rs 1,765 per tola on Thursday.
