Kathmandu’s speakeasy cocktail bar, Barc, located in the Bluestar Complex, Tripureshwar, has achieved a significant milestone by being ranked #39 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024. This accolade not only highlights Barc as one of the finest bars in Asia but also crowns it as the Best Bar in Nepal for 2024.
Barc is celebrated for its chic and intimate atmosphere, characterized by forest green walls, minimalist furniture, and a soothing jazz soundtrack. Co-founded by Abhishek Tuladhar and Adarsha Tamrkar, the bar has gained a reputation for its innovative cocktail menu that creatively incorporates local ingredients such as titaura (hog plum), khattu (liquorice), and aila (a traditional Newari spirit made from fermented rice, grains, and millet).
